Information for parents

All our our Club Coaches are CRB/DBS checked.  We also have a dedicated Child Welfare Officer on our committee.

There are no restrictions as to membership the only prerequisites are you must be able to swim 50 meters (with a bouyancy aid) and need to be aged 8 years or older. Young people must have the permission of their parents/guardians. Children under 16 should not be left at the pond without a parent or guardian.

Clothing
You are likely to get wet so bring a towel and a spare pair of clothes. Warm clothing and a cagoule to keep off the wind is recommended. An old pair of trainers or neoprene shoes are also a good idea.

Equipment
The club has a full range of kayaks and canoes for you to try at pond sessions. We also have paddles, spraydecks and cagoles for anyone to use at one of our pond sessions.

The Lake

We unfortunelty don't have any changing facilities.  We use the pond throughout the year and it can be cold particularly if windy therefore please come prepared.
